Verne Troyer & Marcus Brigstocke to make pantomime debuts in Wimbledon

Casting has been announced for this year's pantomime, Peter Pan, at the New Wimbledon Theatre.

Hollywood film star and TV personality Verne Troyer and British comedian Marcus Brigstocke will both make their pantomime debuts in the show which runs between 5th December 2015 and 10th January 2016.

Playing Lofty the Pirate, Troyer is best known for his role as Mini-Me in the Austin Powers film series. Since then he has become a regular on our British TV screens with appearances on Celebrity Big Brother, The Jonathan Ross Show and Celebrity Juice. His film credits include: Harry Potter & The Sorcerer’s Stone, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, The Love Guru, and Keith Lemon: The Film. He can currently be seen in indie comedy Convenience. 

Troyer says: "I am so excited to be joining the world of British pantomime. The people of the UK always make me feel so welcome and what better way to spend Christmas than performing in a live show at a beautiful theatre in London. It’s a special time of year and I’ve heard such wonderful things about pantomime that I can’t wait to give it a go. I may be an American but I can guarantee a bigperformance!"

Brigstocke will star as Captain Hook. His theatre credits include: Spamalot and The Railway Children. An award winning comedian, Brigstocke's television credits include Have I Got News For You, QI and Mock The Week. He is currently appearing in series three of Brig Society.

The cast will also include Flawless and Jarred Christmas as Smee.
