West End Frame is sad to report the death of Alex Giannini who was playing Mr. Kleiman in Mack and Mabel which is touring the UK following its run in Chichester.
A statement posted on the musical's Twitter page reads: "It is with deepest regret that we can confirm that Alex Giannini, a much loved member of our company, passed away yesterday, Fri 2nd Oct."
Giannini's agent, Felix De Wolfe, described him as "an incredible life force" on Twitter. Last night's performance of Mack and Mabel in Plymouth was cancelled, but today's shows are going ahead as planned. Giannini was fifty-two years of age.
