Liam Tamne to star as Frank N Furter in The Rocky Horror Show UK tour!

Liam Tamne will star as Frank N Furter in the upcoming UK tour of The Rocky Horror Show.

Tamne joins the previously announced Paul Cattermole as Eddie/Dr. Scott, Ben Freeman as Brad and Diana Vickers as Janet as well as Kristian Lavercombe as Riff Raff and Dominic Andersen as Rocky.

The production will open in Brighton on 17th December for a Christmas engagement before visiting Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Sunderland, Wimbledon, Torquay, Edinburgh, York, Aylesbury, Richmond, Stoke-on-Trent, Woking, Bristol and Glasgow.

Tamne recently completed a run as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty's Theatre. His theatre credits also include: Enjolras in Les Miserables (Queen's), Hair (Gielgud), Link Larkin in Hairspray (Shaftesbury) and understudy Fiyero in Wicked (Apollo Victoria). He appeared on BBC's The Voice in 2013.

UPDATE (18.45): Further casting has been announced for the UK tour. Sophie Linder-Lee will reprise her performance as Columbia from the recent West End production alongside Will Knights, Ben Kerr and Hannah Malekzad as Phantoms. Joining the cast are: Kay Murphy as Magenta, Lauren Ingram as a Phantom and Zachary Morris as a swing.

The Rocky Horror Show most recently toured the UK in 2013 when it was seen by over 300,000 people, making it the most successful Rocky Horror tour ever. Since its first appearance at the Royal Court Theatre in June 1973, Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show has been performed worldwide in over 30 countries in every continent and has been translated into more than 20 languages. 

The musical recently played a limited West End run at the Playhouse Theatre with a cast of Rocky Horror legends including David Bedella as Frank ‘n’ Furter, Ben Forster as Brad, Haley Flaherty as Janet, Kristian Lavercombe as Riff Raff, Jayde Westaby as Magenta and Richard Meek as Eddie/Dr. Scott as well as Richard O’Brien as the Narrator. During its run the production was broadcast to cinemas, topping UK cinema box offices.
