Hangmen transferring to the West End

It has been confirmed that Martin McDonagh's new play Hangmen will transfer to the West End following its run at the Royal Court.

The production, which stars David Morrissey and Johnny Flynn, will open at the Wyndham's Theatre on 7th December 2015 (previews from 1st December) for a limited run to 5th March 2016. Matthew Dunster directs with design by Anna Fleischle, lighting by Joshua Carr and sound by Ian Dickinson for Autograph

In his small pub in Oldham, Harry is something of a local celebrity. But what’s the second-best hangman in England to do on the day they’ve abolished hanging? Amongst the cub reporters and sycophantic pub regulars, dying to hear Harry’s reaction to the news, a peculiar stranger lurks, with a very different motive for his visit.

The current ncludes: Josef Davies, James Dryden, Graeme Hawley, John Hodgkinson, Ralph Ineson, Bronwyn James, Ryan Pope, Sally Rogers and Simon Rouse. Reece Shearsmith will not star in the transfer with other casting to be confirmed.
