It has been announced that Broadway star Annaleigh Ashford will release her debut album on 13th November 2015.
Having teamed up with Broadway Records, the album was recorded at the Tony winner's 54 Below concert Lost in the Stars.
Lost in the Stars celebrates the classic cabaret with an eclectic mix of music from the disco days of Donna Summer to the haunting melodies of Kurt Weill and Stephen Sondheim to a sing-a-long of Alanis Morrisette.
Last year Ashford won a Tony Award for her performance as Essie Carmichael in You Can't Take It with You on Broadway, having previously been nominated for originating the role of Lauren in Kinky Boots on Broadway.
Her theatre credits also include: originating the role of Marcy in Dogfight (off-Broadway), Maureen in RENT (off-Broadway), Jeanie in Hair (Broadway), Glinda in Wicked (Broadway & Chicago), Margot and understudy Elle in the original cast of Legally Blonde The Musical (Broadway).
She is about to open as the title character in the Broadway production of Sylvia at the Cort Theatre.
