Scott Alan to release new album with Cynthia Erivo & Oliver Tompsett

Scott Alan has announced that he is releasing his seventh album next month. 

Hot on the heels of his recent residency at the London Hippodrome, the US composer has teamed up with West End stars Cynthia Erivo and Oliver Tompsett to record the album.

Cynthia Erivo and Oliver Tompsett sing Scott Alan will feature six new songs and six re-imagined songs from Alan's back catalogue. The album is due to be released digitally on 6th October 2015. Check out the track listing below:

Erivo is about to make her Broadway debut as Celie in The Color Purple, a role she first played in the show's UK premiere at the Menier Chocolate Factory. Erivo created the role of Chenice in I Can't Sing (Palladium) and starred as Deloris Van Cartier in the first UK Tour of Sister Act. 

Her theatre credits also include: Songs For A New World (St James Theatre), Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Liverpool Everyman), all-female Henry IV (Donmar), title role in Dessa Rose (Trafalgar Studios), LIFT (Soho Theatre), The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (Gielgud), The Three Musketeers and the Princess of Spain (Traverse Theatre/English Touring Company) and 24 Hour Musicals (Old Vic).

Tompsett is best known for starring as Galileo in the final West End cast of We Will Rock You (Dominion), originating the role of Drew in the West End production of Rock Of Ages (Shaftesbury), and playing Fiyero for three years in Wicked (Apollo Victoria), 

His theatre credits also include: The World Goes Round (Pheasantry) Phil Davis in White Christmas (West Yorkshire Playhouse), Sam in Ghost The Musical (workshop), The Royal Hunt of the Sun (National), Mamma Mia (Prince of Wales), Our House (Cambridge), Caliph in Kismet (Arcola), Harry Lytton in Over My Shoulder (Wyndham’s) and Tony in West Side Story (Canizaro Park Festival.
