Back in May we reported that a developmental workshop was being held in New York for a new musical called Mean featuring hits by P!nk.
Now it has been announced that the show, which has been renamed True Love, will receive a second developmental workshop in October at the Emerging Artists Theatre's New Works Series Festival in New York.
Jonathan Warman directs with choreography by Liz Piccoli, book by Kerri Kochanski and music and lyrics by Alecia Moore (aka P!nk).
True Love is said to be inspired by P!nk's real life. It tells the story of Jinx, an up-and-coming rock star in Hollywood who embraces the party lifestyle at the risk of her relationship.
P!nk is not involved with the musical's development; however, she is apparently "aware" of the project.
