It has been announced that Ethan Le Phong is stepping into the role of Thuy in the West End revival of Miss Saigon at the Price Edward Theatre. He will play the role between 19th January and 16th March 2015 in place of Kwang-Ho Hong.
Le Phong is currently a swing in the production. Writing on Facebook, he said: "I can finally tell you that starting January 19-March 16, I will be stepping into the role of Thuy in the West End Miss Saigon! Still pinching myself to make sure I'm not dreaming!"
The actor previously appeared in Miss Saigon on Broadway as well as in the musical's second US Tour and German production. In the West End Le Phong has appeared in: The King and I, South Pacific, We Will Rock You, Jerry Springer – The Opera and Thoroughly Modern Millie.
Miss Saigon currently stars Jon Jon Briones as ‘The Engineer’, Eva Noblezada as ‘Kim’, Alistair Brammer as ‘Chris’, Tamsin Carroll as ‘Ellen’, Hugh Maynard as ‘John’ and Rachelle Ann Go as ‘Gigi’. The musical has extended its booking period to Saturday 26th September 2015.
