According to the New York Post, Donna Murphy is set to star as Norma Desmond in a Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Tony-winning musical Sunset Boulevard! Michael Mayer will reportedly direct the production.
Murphy famously won Tony Awards for her performances in The King and I and Passion. With a score by Lloyd Webber, Sunset Boulevard has book and lyrics by Christopher Hampton and Don Black. It premiered in the West End in 1993 starring Patti LuPone.
