To Kill a Mockingbird transfers to Barbican following UK Tour; Robert Sean Leonard returns

It has been announced that the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre's acclaimed production of To Kill a Mockingbird will transfer to the Barbican between Wednesday 24th June and Saturday 25th July 2015 following its UK Tour.

Robert Sean Leonard will reprise the role of Atticus Finch exclusively for the limited Barbican run.

Directed by Timothy Sheader, To Kill a Mockingbird originally opened during the Open Air Theatre’s 2013 season where it enjoyed a sell out run. Due to popular demand, it has returned for two weeks to conclude the 2014 season at the Open Air Theatre following The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess.

The 1960 novel was awarded the Pulitzer Prize, followed by the film adaptation in 1962 which won three Oscars out of the eight it was nominated for.

The UK tour begins on 16th September 2014 at Canterbury Marlowe Theatre. The production will visit: Norwich, Malvern, Woking, Leicester, Cardiff, High Wycombe, Cambridge and Birmingham.

The tour will then continue until May 2015 visiting Bath, Chichester, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Nottingham, Dartford, Milton Keynes, Southampton, Leeds, Plymouth, Newcastle, Cheltenham, Richmond and Salford.
