Park Theatre confirms Autumn season; full casting announced for Richard Bean's Toast

The Park Theatre has announced the full programme for its upcoming Autumn season.

Beginning the season in Park200 is Snapdragon Productions’ revival of Toast, the first Richard Bean play to be professionally produced on stage. Joining Matthew Kelly and Simon Greenall in the cast are Will Barton, Steve Nicholson, Finlay Robertson, Matt Sutton and John WarkEleanor Rhode directs.

Toast is followed by the first London revival of David Hare’s The Vertical Hour and the London première of Robert Holman’s Jonah and Otto, directed by Tim Stark

The world première of Anna Jordan’s Chicken Shop, the second instalment of Epsilon Productions’ Park residency, opens the programme in Park90, and is succeeded by Warde Street, a drama from Damien Tracey set in the aftermath of the London 7/7 bombings, and Manfred Karge’s one-woman play Man to Man which transfers from the Mercury Theatre in Colchester.

Discussing the season, Jez Bond (Artistic Director) said: "As we progress into our second year at Park Theatre, I am thrilled to announce the full programme for our autumn season. Park200 sees the work of three of our leading contemporary English playwrights – Richard Bean, David Hare, and Robert Holman, with major revivals of some of their most important and influential works.

"Coupled with the brilliantly bold work in Park90 – new plays from emerging artists – Anna Jordan and Damien Tracey, and a rare revival of Manfred Karge’s extraordinary play Man to Man, it’s a truly exciting mix of work offering our audiences the best in contemporary playwrighting."

Elsewhere, Intimate Apparel concludes its run at the Park Theatre on Sunday (27th July) and Daytona continues its West End run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket following its run at the Park last year. Thérèse Raquin runs at the Park200 between 31st July and 24th August.
