Writing on Twitter, Nigel Lindsay has announced he will star opposite Lindsay Lohan in Speed-the-Plow at the Playhouse Theatre.

The actor has been cast as Charlie Fox in the production which opens on 2nd October (previews from 24th September) and runs until 29th November.
His most recent theatre credits include playing: Jack Mccracken in A Small Family Business (National), Bolingbroke in Richard II (RSC), Barry Paterson in The Same Deep Water As Me (Donmar) and the title role in Shrek The Musical (Theatre Royal, Drury Lane).
Lindsay Posner directs David Mamet's play which is described as a satirical dissection of the American movie business.
Madonna starred in the original Broadway production of Speed-the-Plow. The piece was staged at the National Theatre in 1989. Most recently it was seen at the Old Vic starring Kevin Spacey and Jeff Goldblum.
