GOSSIP: Roger Bart cast as Doc Brown in Back To The Future workshop?

According to Baz Bamigboye, Roger Bart has been cast as Doc Brown in a workshop for the confirmed musical adaptation of Back To The Future.

Bamigboye suggests he has heard a "pretty reliable rumour" and that director Jamie Lloyd is in negotiations with Bart. Doc Brown was famously played by Christopher Lloyd in all three Back To The Future movies.

Roger Bart is an American actor and singer. He won a Tony Award for his role in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown on Broadway and was nominated for a Tony Award for his role in The Producers on Broadway.

Please note producers are yet to confirm this casting. Producers have confirmed Jamie Lloyd will direct Back To The Future the Musical; however, no dates or theatre have been announced.

The confirmed Back To The Future creative team also includes set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, illusions by Paul Kieve, lighting design by Jon Clark, and musical supervision by Alan Williams. Andrew Willis will be skateboard consultant.
