Tim Driesen to star as Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys UK Tour; further tour dates announced

West End star Tim Driesen (pictured right) has been cast as Frankie Valli in the UK Tour of Jersey Boys. 

Driesen is currently playing the role in the Dutch production of Jersey Boys, and previously played Frankie Valli for a short season at the Prince Edward Theatre in the West End. Click here to read West End Frame's review of his performance. 

Speaking to West End Frame about playing the role during an interview last year, Tim said: "Ever since I saw the show and heard the cast album I have wanted to play Frankie. It is such a great musical to be part of!" Click here to read the full interview.

Tim recently appeared in the West End playing Joey Primo, alternating Drew and understudying Stacee Jaxx in Rock Of Ages at the Garrick Theatre. 

His theatre credits include: Young Ken Barlow in Coronation Street Of Dreams (MEN Arena), Galileo in We Will Rock You (Antwerp), Adrian Banks/Mark Owen in Never Forget (Savoy/UK tour), Mark in Rent in Concert (Garrick), Starlight Express (UK tour), The Rocky Horror Show (European Tour), Bat Boy- the musical (Shaftesbury Theatre), Mamma Mia (Prince Edward Theatre) and Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (UK Tour).

Further dates have been added for the tour which opens at the Manchester Palace Theatre on 4th September 2014 where it runs until 4th October 2014. 

The show will then visit: Edinburgh Playhouse (8th-25th October), Stoke Regent Theatre (28th October-8th November), Hull New Theatre (11th-22nd November), Sunderland Empire (25th November-6th December), Birmingham Alexandra Theatre (9th December 2014-3rd January 2015), Canterbury Marlowe Theatre (20th-31st January), Milton Keynes Theatre (3rd-14th February), Southend Cliffs Pavilion (17th-28th February), Aberdeen His Majesty’s Theatre (3rd-14th March), Woking New Victoria (17th-28th March), Oxford New Theatre (12th-23rd May), Bristol Hippodrome (26th May -13th June), Liverpool Empire (23rd June-4th July), Norwich Theatre Royal (7th-18th July) and Southampton Mayflower Theatre (4th-15th August).
