It has been revealed that Tori Amos will release a cast album of her debut musical The Light Princess. The stunning musical premiered at the National Theatre last year, following years of development.
Confirming the news on Twitter, playwright Samuel Adamson who co-wrote the musical said:
So Tori's let the falcon out: we're doing a The Light Princess cast album. We start soon. Still months away, but something is glimmering!

Further information is yet to be announced.
Speaking to West End Frame about her time in the show during a recent interview, Amy Booth-Steel (who played Piper and is pictured right) said: "It was one of the best experiences of my life. I was with the project from the very first workshop about four years ago so I got to see it in all its stages and we got to create it from scratch which is just incredible!
"And then to have someone like Tori Amos write a song for you is a dream – amazing! I was heartbroken when it came to an end, I mourned for a few days." Click here to read the full interview.
Once, in opposing kingdoms lived a princess and a prince who had lost their mothers. Althea, unable to cry, became light with grief and floated, and so was locked away. Digby became so heavy-hearted that he could never smile, and so was trained as a warrior.
One day, he declares war. Althea is forced out of hiding and down to ground but, in defiance of her father, she escapes, only to encounter the solemn prince on contested land. Beside a lake the warring heirs begin a passionate and illicit affair. But for Althea to find real love, she must first confront the world’s darkness and face her own deepest fears.
We will let you know when further information is announced!
