It has been announced that Gemma Arterton and Stephen Mangan will host the 2014 Olivier Awards. The ceremony is being held on Sunday 13th April at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden. Highlights of the event will be broadcast later that evening on ITV.
It was recently revealed that Arterton will star in the new musical adaptation of Made In Dagenham, opening at the Adelphi Theatre later this year. Mangan is currently starring in Jeeves & Wooster In Perfect Nonsense at the Duke Of York's Theatre.
The voiceover will be provided by Olivier Award winner Julie Walters.
This year’s new set has been designed by Es Devlin, the multi award-winning international stage designer whose work crosses a wide range of genres including drama, dance, opera and pop. She designed the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony and, most recently, provided the set design for the new musical I Can’t Sing!. She is herself nominated for an Olivier Award this year for her designs for the play Chimerica.
