Imelda Staunton will play Rose in Jonathan Kent's revival of Gypsy at the Chichester Festival Theatre, the Daily Mail has announced. Baz Bamigboye has revealed the production will run for a limited season from early October and that Kevin Whately is in final talks to play Herbie. Lara Pulver reportedly is in talks about playing Louise Hovick.
In other Chichester news, Sophie Thompson and Peter Polycarpou are apparently in negotiations to star in Guys And Dolls.
