Production images have been released for Afraid of the Dark which is currently in previews at the Charing Cross Theatre. The production, described as "a brand of theatrical terror that paralyzes the audience with fear", officially opens on Wednesday 11th September and is not suitable for children under 12, those of a nervous disposition or for those suffering with serious heart conditions. Take a look at the images below (click on a picture to enlarge).
"50’s Hollywood, A failing B-movie producer and his team struggle to find the next terrifying blockbuster. A mysterious stranger appears – blurring the line between nightmare and reality while worming his way into their minds, exploiting their very worst fears..."
The cast includes Charlie Anson as ‘Roger Maxwell’ (a handsome and ambitious man whose charms have only gotten him so far), Rebecca Blackstone as ‘Sandra Callaghan’ (smart, independent, and beautiful who has seen it all, especially when it comes to men …and with a very dark secret), Julian Forsyth as ‘Dr Henry Charlier’ (man of mystery), John Guerrasio as ‘Julius Bernstein’ (an arrogant, pushy, demanding sonofabitch producer - think Louis B. Mayer) and Mark Rice-Oxley as ‘Herschell Blank’ (nervy, offbeat and talented writer who is…stuck).
