Swan Lake is a show I have seen many times before, with Matthew Bourne's version always being my favourite... until now. Sweden’s Fredrik Rydman's Swan Lake Reloaded welcomes the audience into a surreal world of bright colours and drug fuelled parties with prostitutes and pimps reflected from Amsterdam's red light district. Neither can I fault the performers or the choreography, in fact this is the first time I have not been able to find one fault in a production.

Swan Lake Reloaded takes the beautiful score and turns it into a soundtrack which you would expect to hear in a nightclub. The mixture of new and old is delightful to listen to. The man behind the magic is Fredrik Rydman who created and choreographed the show. While the entire cast were brilliant, stand out performances came from Daniel Koivunen and Robert Malmborg.

The set was stunning, guiding the audience through various rooms. The production features the perfect balance of beauty and raw passion. If you missed this show in London it's certainly worth travelling abroad for. It is the best show I've seen all year, I can't imagine anything else will amaze me so much for a long time to come.
