It would be very easy for me to write about We Will Rock You being a shallow, cringey piece of theatre but that would be completely missing the point. Ben Elton was not trying to write an insightful, thought provoking piece of theatre which explores human emotion. We Will Rock You may not be Shakespeare, but it is bloody good fun!

We Will Rock You is a very important show because it attracts a completely different audience to the theatre. The musical is a celebration of Queen's music and features some of the best vocalists in the West End - if you want to see some real talent, switch off The X Factor and book tickets to see We Will Rock You. The show doesn't try to impersonate Queen, most of the songs have been cleverly reinvented.

Brenda Edwards gives a fearless performance as Killer Queen. She may have been playing the role for a few years but her performance still remains fresh. The power in Brenda's voice is mindblowing. The highlight of my evening was Rachel John's stunning rendition of No-One But You, the song which Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor released following the death of Freddie Mercury. No-One But You's lyrical content is spellbinding and not only does Rachel sing the song faultlessly but she feels every single lyric, it is a touching tribute to Freddie Mercury.

Oliver Tompsett recently joined the cast as Galileo and it is so refreshing to see him bring something new to the role. Oliver sings the challenging score effortlessly and has great chemistry with his co-star, Rachel Wooding. Rachel recently returned to the show as Scaramouche, having previously played Meat a few years ago. She also gives a strong vocal performance and delivers comical lines well.

It is always great to see Queen fans loving every second of this jukebox musical. If you take We Will Rock You for what it is you are guaranteed to have a great time, just drink lots of wine beforehand! We Will Rock You is now in its eleventh year but is still just as slick and sharp as ever. I think this was the strongest cast I have seen and I am sure the show will continue to blow the roof off the Dominion Theatre for many years to come.
