The Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre has announced full casting for their 2013 season. Jane Asher will star in Pride and Prejudice while Olivier Award nominees Charlotte Wakefield and Michael Xavier will star in The Sound Of Music.
Joining Jane Asher (who will play Lady Catherine De Bourgh) in Jane Austen’s ultimate romantic comedy, Pride and Prejudice is Ed Birch (Mr Collins), Leah Brotherhead (Mary/Miss De Bourgh), Imogen Byron (Kitty Bennet), Sophia Capasso (Georgina), Olivia Darnley (Charlotte Lucas), Caroline Harker (Mrs Gardiner), Rob Heaps (Mr Bingley), Yolanda Kettle (Jane Bennet), Jennifer Kirby (Elizabeth Bennet), Rebecca Lacey (Mrs Bennet), Frances McNamee (Caroline Bingley), David Oakes (Mr Darcy), Barnaby Sax (Mr Wickham), Eleanor Thorn (Lydia Bennet),Timothy Walker (Mr Bennet) and David Whitworth (Sir William).
The production is directed by Deborah Bruce and will run between 20th June – 20th July.
William Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale re-imagined for ages six and over will feature Lewis Goody (Florizel), Guy Burgess (Leontes), Dean Nolan (Polixenes), Sirine Saba (Hermoine), Alexandra Maher (Paulina/Camillo) and Kezrena James (Perdita).
Running between 29th June - 20 July, this production will use Shakespeare’s original text, as with previous productions of Pericles re-imagined, Macbeth re-imagined and The Tempest re-imagined and is especially created for younger audiences.

Joining Charlotte Wakefield and Michael Xavier (who will play Maria Rainer and Captain Von Trapp) in The Sound of Music is Kimberley Blake, Faye Brookes (Liesl) Helen Colby, Samuel Edwards, Tim Frances, Victoria Hinde, Helen Hobson (Mother Abbess), Christopher Hunt, Caroline Keiff (Elsa Schraeder), Michael Matus, Harry Morrison, Gemma Page, Laura Pick, Stuart Price, Anna Simmons, Chloe Taylor, Joshua Tonks (Rolf), and Helen Walsh.
The production will be directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and will conclude the 2013 season, playing between 25th July - 7th September.
Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre previously announced Robert Sean Leonard in the role of Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird, the first production of the 2013 season which begins previews this evening (16th May). The Tony award-winning American actor is best known for playing Dr. James Wilson in the Fox television series House and Neil Perry in the 1989 movie Dead Poets Society. Having frequently performed on and off Broadway since 1986, To Kill a Mockingbird will mark Robert’s return to the London stage for the first time in 22 years.
Full casting includes Michele Austin (Calpurnia), Richie Campbell (Tom Robinson), Christopher Ettridge (Mr Walter Cunningham/Judge Taylor), Tom Godwin (Nathan Radley/Mr Gilmer), Simon Gregor (Bob Ewell), Stephen Kennedy (Heck Tate), Phil King (Link Deas), Hattie Ladbury (Ms Maude Atkinson), Julie Legrand (Stephanie Crawford/Mrs Dubose), Rona Morison (Mayella Ewell), Joe Speare (Reverend Sykes) and Daniel Tuite (Boo Radley). Eleanor Worthington-Cox, Lucy Hutchinson and Izzy Lee share the role of Scout, whilst Harry Bennett, Sebastian Clifford and Ewan Harris share the role of Dill, and Gus Barry, Callum Henderson and Adam Scotland share the role of Jem.
