According to WhatsOnStage.com, Nancy Dell'Olio's forthcoming bio-play at the Arts Theatre has been cancelled in mysterious circumstances. It had previously been announced that The Powder Room would premiere in June at the Arts Theatre for a six-week run.
The show had been described as a fascinating look at the glamorous life of the Italian celebrity as she opens her heart about intimate details, her near fatal car crash and how she copes with life in the spotlight. But the box office has apparently confirmed that the production is no longer going ahead.
Speaking to WhatsOnStage.com, a representative of producer Phil McIntyre Entertainments claimed the run has been rescheduled. He went on to say "The producers are currently looking at alternative theatres and a further announcement will be made soon."
Instead of The Powder Room, The Golden Voice, a new British musical by singer-songwriter Nick Fogarty, will premiere at the Arts Theatre from Wednesday 19th June (previews from 12th June), running until Saturday 31st August 2013.
