Having previously seen The Supreme Fabulettes back in December 2012, it is difficult not to compare this recent performance to their last. I can honestly say, however, that I felt there was a noticeable vocal improvement and I was thoroughly impressed by the performance.

Opening the show with a medley of songs, including Aint No Mountain High Enough and Dancing In The Streets, The Supreme Fabulettes looked great in their glamorous, glittery sunset orange dresses. It was not long before this all male-female close harmony group had the audience cheering and singing along to a variety of popular hits as they celebrated girl bands and female icons.

Their harmonies were impressive and their solo performances were just as engaging. I particularly enjoyed the group performance of the BeyoncĂ© hit Crazy In Love, as well as Miss Maddison Lee’s rendition of Rolling On The River, which was performed in a beautiful hot pink dress, enough to make any girl jealous of her figure! Accompanied by special guest Johnny Hazzard, the girls also performed their own upbeat song A Drag Queen Is a Cowboy’s Best Friend, I loved their cow print costumes.

Special guest Sammy Dinneen had me on the edge of my seat during his attention grabbing acrobatic routine where he balanced upside-down on just two wooden rods. I was very impressed!

I admire the way The Supreme Fabulettes interact with the audience. Not only are they excellent singers, but they are also hilarious comedians, their spontaneous jokes had the entire audience in stiches. I also enjoyed the short cartoon which was a wonderful idea.

Bursting with music, glamour and excitement, The Supreme Fabulettes provide you with an evening out like no other. While I would have loved to have heard a few more current songs, everybody left the theatre in high spirits.
