Hot Property is a lighthearted, good fun show. Packed with plenty of laughs, the storyline is very easygoing but does make you think about just how ridiculous celebrity culture has become.
The cast is made up of five strong character actors who bring Matthew Randle's script to life. A stand out performance came from Georgina Morell as 'C-list Celebrity', Natalie Dawkins. She portrayed the character perfectly and had the audience in stitches on many occasions. Tracey Pickup also gave a strong performance as Claudia, her intense portrayal was slightly terrifying!
Hot Property is well written, however I feel something is missing. While most of the acting is strong, the characters are quite shallow meaning I found it difficult to become drawn in. The storyline is funny but after a while is pretty predictable. Without giving too much away I loved the ending, Matthew Randle leaves the audience guessing.
Hot Property is a good, modest show. If you're in Camden this week I recommend you pop into the Ectetera Theatre for a fun, lighthearted evening!
