Les Miserables cast album stays at top of the UK Album Chart

The UK has officially gone Les Miserables mad as the cast album spends a second week on top of the Official UK Albums Chart.

Last week, The Motion Picture Cast Recording of Tom Hooper’s big screen adaptation of the hit musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel became the first film cast recording to top the Official Albums Chart since Evita in 1997. 

The Album continues to dominate the Official Albums Chart this week, outselling its closest competitor, Emeli Sande’s Our Version Of Events by more than two to one.

Last week Anne Hathaway, who stars as Fantine in Tom Hooper's Oscar-nominated film adaptation of the Les Miserables musical, reached No. 22 in the UK's Top 40 songs with I Dreamed A Dream.
