It has been announced that Henry Goodman will play Arthur Winslow in Terence Rattigan's The Winslow Boy at The Old Vic. The production opens on 19th March 2013, with previews from 8th March.
Directed by Lindsay Posner, The Winslow Boy is based on a true story of a father’s fight to clear his son’s name when he is expelled after being convicted of theft. First staged in 1946, the battle between personal principles and conscience plus an impenetrable establishment under the media spotlight makes The Winslow Boy as relevant today as it was then.
Henry Goodman recently played Arturo Ui in The Resistable Rise of Arturo at the Chichester Festival Theatre. His theatre credits include Fiddler on the Roof, Chicago, Guys and Dolls, City of Angels, Assassins, The Merchant of Venice, Duet for One, and Broadway's Tartuffe, The Producers and Art.
Further casting is to be announced.
