According to the Daily Mail, The Bodyguard currently playing at the Adelphi Theatre starring Heather Headley (until 7th September 2013) and Lloyd Owen (until 7th September 2013), now boasts an advance of more than £4 million. This news comes as today it had been officially announced that the shows booking period has been extended until 28th September 2013.
Directed by Thea Sharrock, the show features classic Whitney songs including "One Moment in Time", "Saving All My Love", "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" and "I Will Always Love You".
It centres on a former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, who is hired to protect singing superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge; what they don't expect is to fall in love.
Also in the cast are Debbie Kurup (Nicki Marron), Mark Letheren (The Stalker), Ray Shell (Bill Devaney), Nicolas Colicos (Tony Scibelli), Mark McKerracher (Herb Farmer), Sean Chapman (Sy Spector), David Page (Rory Fryman) and Oliver Le Sueur (Ray Court).
The Bodyguard opened on 5th December 2012 and was initially booking until 27th April 2013.
