Christmas With The Supreme Fabulettes
Leicester Square Theatre
Reviewed on Wednesday 19th December 2012

The Supreme Fabulettes are an all-male female close harmony group, made up of Miss Vanilla Lush, Miss Vicki Vivacious and Miss Madisson Lee. Last night the girls celebrated their first Christmas together by throwing a festive feel-good party for 400 special guests at Leicester Square Theatre.
Less than fifteen minutes is all it took for the Supreme Fabulettes to get the audience up on their feet and dancing along to a variety of Christmas classics and contemporary songs, including the likes of Amy Winehouse, Beyoncé and Adele.
Despite some weak vocals during their solo performances, this all-male female group, who were accompanied by an incredibly talented saxophone player during some songs, proved to be excellent when singing as a trio, producing some fantastic harmonies. The girls took it in turns to lead each song, keeping the audience engaged.
I loved the interaction between The Supreme Fabulettes and the audience. When opening the show, while singing the classic Christmas song Little Drummer Boy, the girls walked through the theatre, stopping to greet members of the audience in their classy, cool and coquettish manner. Partway through the performance they paid audience members another visit to offer mince pies and cream, ensuring everyone was getting into the festive spirit.
The costumes were simply fabulous and it was clever how quickly they got changed into new ones, often removing parts of their dresses to reveal another one underneath whilst remaining on stage. From their glittery fingernails right down to their sparkling stilettos, which they confidently stormed the stage in, the Fabulettes looked absolutely superb and it was clear that a great deal of effort and creativity had gone into their appearances. This, in turn with their stunning make-up and wigs, actually made them quite convincing women, enough to make any girl green with envy!
The Supreme Fabulettes provided an exciting, fun and humorous evening, full of glitz and glam. Although perhaps not suitable for under 16s, due to frequent mild sexual references, the show was ideal for letting your hair down. I had a great night and enjoyed seeing something different from a typical West End show!
