Yes, Prime Minister announces closure

Yes, Prime Minister will finish its run at Trafalgar Studios on 12th January 2013 ahead of a UK tour. Following its opening at Chichester Festival Theatre in the Spring of 2010, the show has enjoyed multiple runs in the West End, playing at the Gielgud, Apollo and now Trafalgar Studios 1.

Adapted by the creators Antony Jay and Jonathan Lynn, the production brings the much-loved BBC comedy series into the modern era and onto stage for the first time.

The current cast features Robert Daws will play Prime Minister Jim Hacker alongside Michael Simkins as Cabinet Secretary Sir Humphrey Appleby, the roles immortalised on screen by Paul Eddington and Nigel Hawthorne.

A new series of six episodes will air on the BBC in January, starring the play's original cast members David Haig and Henry Goddman.
