Full casting has been announced for Crazy For You which runs 'Upstairs at the Gatehouse' from 13th December 2012 – 27th January 2013.
The cast includes: Jay Rincon, Ceili O’Connor, Tamsin Dowsett, Natalie Lipon, James Wolstenholme James Doughty, Siggy Seymour, Anthony Williamson, Sara Morley, Simon Ouldred, Becky Bassett, Ricky Morrell, Georgie Burdett and Tom Pepper.
The show features music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin, book by Ken Ludwig and co-conception by Ken Ludwig and Mike Ockrent.
"Stagestruck banker Bobby Child, caught between his termagant mama and impatient fiancee, is despatched to the Nevada desert to foreclose on an ailing theatre; instead, he falls in love with the owner's spunky daughter Polly and hatches a plan to impersonate a successful Broadway impresario, Zangler, borrow his bevy of leggy chorines, and save the theatre by putting on a show right there. All sorts of silly shenanigans naturally ensue, including some nifty comic confusions when the real Zangler shows up."
Crazy for You won the 1992 Tony Award for Best Musical, 1993 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and 2012 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.
