Barry Howard, Sarah Earnshaw & James Head join cast of Scrooge

Full casting has been announced for Scrooge, which returns to the London Palladium next month  starring Tommy Steele in the title role. The show runs from 6th November 2012.

Joining Tommy Steele in the principal cast are Barry Howard as Jacob Marley, Sarah Earnshaw as the Ghost of Christmas Past and James Head as the Ghost of Christmas Present.

Completing the cast are: Craig Whitely, Leonie Heath, Halcro Johnston, Edward Handoll, Robbie Towns, Tessa Vale, Leon Kay, Anna McGarahan, Louisa Maxwell, Ian Caddick, Steven Sparling, Johnathan Dudley, Nikki Gerrard, Roisin Sullivan, Natalie Moore Williams and Kieron Harris.

Scrooge tells Dickens’ story of the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge who - after a night facing the ghosts of his past, present and his frightening future - is transformed, his Christmas spirit restored. The score includes "I Hate Christmas", "It's Not My Fault", "I'll Begin Again" and "Better Life".

Scrooge was last at the Palladium in 2005, again starring Steele, who has played the title role more than any other actor over the years.

Having celebrated over 55 years in the entertainment industry, Tommy Steele’s return to the London Palladium this Christmas will once again send him into the record books: he has headlined more performances than any other star in the history of the London Palladium, including Dick Whittington (1969-70), The Tommy Steele Show (1973), Hans Anderson (1974-75 & 1977-78), Singin’ in the Rain (1983-85 & 1989) and Scrooge (2005-06; 2012-13). 

Tommy’s legendary career also includes over twenty hit singles, Hollywood movie hits such as The Happiest Millionaire and Finian’s Rainbow, and countless award winning stage musicals such as Half a Sixpence, Hans Andersen and Singin’ in the Rain.
