Natasha Barnes to star as title role in Cinderella at the London Palladium

The Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye has announced that Natasha Barnes will play the title role in Cinderella at the London Palladium this Christmas.

Earlier this week, Barnes finished second place in West End Frame's Understudy of the Year Award for alternating the role of Fanny Brice in Funny Girl at the Savoy Theatre. Also joining the cast are Wendy Somerville and Suzie Chard as the Ugly Stepsisters. 

As previously announced, Cinderella will star Amanda Holden as the Fairy Godmother, Paul O’Grady as The Wicked Stepmother, Julian Clary as Dandini, Lee Mead as Prince Charming, Paul Zerdin as Buttons, Nigel Havers as Lord Chamberlain and Count Arthur Strong as Baron Hardup. 

Cinderella opens at the London Palladium on 14th December 2016 (previews from 9th December) and runs until 15th January 2017. Directed by Michael Harrison and co-directed and choreographed by Andrew Wright, Cinderella is designed by Ian Westbrook with costume designs for O’Grady and Clary by Hugh Durrant

Lighting is by Ben Cracknell with projections by Duncan Mclean, sound by Gareth Owen,musical supervision & orchestration by Gary Hind, musical direction by Greg Arrowsmith and visual special effects by The Twins FX.
