The Directors of the Park Theatre have confirmed that, as of Wednesday morning (6th May), Dead Sheep - Jonathan Maitland's debut play about Margaret Thatcher and Geoffrey Howe - has taken £133,009, breaking the all-time box office record at Park Theatre.
The play is on course to finish on at least £135k when it closes on 9th May 2015. The show is also looking close to selling out, with seats only available for the remaining matinees.
Jez Bond (Artistic Director) said: "We are thrilled that audiences, both local and from further afield, are engaging so strongly with our work - Dead Sheep has been a resounding success and the next two shows in the venue both tackle important and controversial contemporary issues; UK extremism in Hurling Rubble and the Savile scandal with Jonathan Maitland's next play, An Audience with Jimmy Savile.
