The Stage has announced that Tommy Steele will play Glenn Miller in a new musical entitled The Glenn Miller Story.
Bill Kenwright will direct and produce the production which has choreography by Bill Deamer. Although further casting is yet to be announced, Matthew Hemley has revealed that the show will feature a 16-piece band (hooray)! The Glenn Miller Story will tour the UK throughout 2015, with Kenwright hoping to bring it to the West End.
The Stage claims the musical will "explore the life, fame and vanishing of Miller, who disappeared on a flight over the English Channel when he was on his way to entertain troops during the Second World War."
