According to the Daily Mail, Baz Luhrmann is "exploring ways" to bring Strictly Ballroom to the West End.
The show, which is based on the 1992 movie, received a run in Sydney earlier this year and is about to play in Melbourne. Baz Bamigboye reports that if a theatre can be found, Strictly Ballroom could open in the West End in 2015 or early 2016.
The Daily Mail also reports that Elf the Musical could run at the London Palladium or Dominion Theatre next Christmas. A production is running in Plymouth and Dublin this Christmas starring Ben Forster and AoibhÃnn McGinnity as Buddy and Jovie.
Elf famously ran on Broadway in 2010-11 and 2012-13. It has also toured the US. It features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin and a book by Thomas Meehan and Bob Martin. The musical is based on the 2003 movie starring Will Ferrell.
The Daily Mail also claims that it's looking more and more likely that Disney's stage adaptation of Aladdin, which is currently dazzling audiences on Broadway, will open at the Palladium in 2016.

In other news, Baz Bamigboye claims that White Christmas at the Dominion Theatre has taken £5.3 million in ticket sales at the box office. The production could return next year (hooray!).
