GOSSIP: Bend it like Beckham begins previews at the Phoenix Theatre on 15th May 2015?

According to the Daily Mail's Baz Bamigboye, the musical adaptation of Bend it like Beckham will begin previews at the Phoenix Theatre on 15th May ahead of press night on 24th June. The show is produced by Sonia Friedman (The Book of Mormon/Legally Blonde).

Bend it like Beckham  has music and lyrics by Howard Goodall and Charles Hart. Gurinder Chadha (who directed and co-wrote the film) directs.

Casting for the West End run is yet to be revealed. Samantha Barks and Richard Fleeshman starred in the show's workshop last year. The cast also included Tara Divina, Frances Ruffelle, Shobna Gulati and Preeya Kalidas.
