Open Air Theatre announces further casting for 2014 season

Casting for Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre’s 2014 production of All My Sons has been announced, with further casting confirmed for Hobson’s Choice and the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess. The season opens on 15th May 2014.

ALL MY SONS

Tom Mannion and Brid Brennan will play Joe and Kate Keller along with Charles Aitken who will play their son, Chris. Amy Nuttall will play the role of Ann Deever. 

All My Sons will run from 15th May to 7th June and will be directed by Artistic Director Timothy Sheader with set and costume by Lizzie Clachan. 

Other casting includes Andy McKeane as George Deever, Simon Wilson as Dr Jim Bayliss, Tilly Blackwood as Sue Bayliss, Maddie Rice as Lydia Lubey, Matt Cross as Frank Lubey and Charles Maddox, Ewan Harris and Johnny Peat will play the role of Bert.

HOBSON’S CHOICE

Karl Davies will play Willy Mossop in Hobson’s Choice alongside the previously announced cast which includes Mark Benton as Henry Hobson. Directed by Nadia Fall, Hobson’s Choice will run from 12th June to 12th July.

THE GERSHWINS’ PORGY AND BESS

Jade Ewen will play Clara, Cedric Neal will play Sportin’ Life, Golda Rosheuvel will play Serena and Leon Lopez (pictured right) will play Jake in the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess, alongside the previously announced cast which includes Rufus Bonds Jr and Nicola Hughes who will play the title roles.

Celebrated as a landmark piece of American theatre, the Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess will run from 17th July to 23rd August, directed by Timothy Sheader, with a book adapted by Suzan-Lori Parks and a musical score adapted by Diedre L. Murray.

Casting for Twelfth Night re-imagined for ages 6 and over and To Kill a Mockingbird will be announced in due course.
