The Daily Mail has reported that multi award-winning recording artist Beverley Knight has extended her run in The Bodyguard through to 31st May 2014.

The star was previously contracted until 8th March. Knight  is yet to miss a scheduled performance since joining the production in September. The star has received high praise for her portrayal of Rachel Marron. Click here to read West End Frame's recent review of The Bodyguard.

Speaking to Baz Bamigboye, Beverley Knight said: "It’s hard bloody work, but it’s so much fun at the same time with this company. I’m singing and dancing every single night and I’m learning. I’ve always gone on stage to sing as Beverley Knight, but I’ve had to learn how to play someone else."

Based on Lawrence Kasdan’s 1992 Oscar nominated Warner Bros. film, Thea Sharrock’s production of The Bodyguard has book by Alex Dinelaris. The musical recently extended its West End run at the Adelphi Theatre to August 2014.

Please note Beverley Knight only performs in evening performances.
