Louise Dearman announces musical theatre album and UK Tour

Louise Dearman has announced she will release her third studio album 'It's Time' on 18th November 2013.

The album will feature covers of various musical theatre songs from shows including: Sunset Boulevard, Les Miserables and A Chorus Line.

The track-list will feature: I Dreamed a Dream, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, Tell Me On a Sunday.

She has also recorded versions of Send in the Clowns from A Little Night Music, What I Did For Love from A Chorus Line, People from Funny Girl and The Perfect Year from Sunset Boulevard..

'It's Time' will include a duet of Falling Slowly from Once which Louise sings with X Factor winner Shayne Ward who recently starred in Rock Of Ages, winning the 2012 West End Frame Award for 'Best West End Debut'.

Speaking to The Stage, Louise said: “Working on this album has been a whole new experience for me. For years, I’ve shied away from singing or recording iconic musical theatre songs, and tried to find less known material. But this year felt like the right time to embrace all those truly wonderful classics and put them together with some beautiful orchestrations on my new album. It’s really taken me back to my roots and I’m very proud of the end product.”

Louise is currently starring as Elphaba in the West End production of Wicked until 16th November 2013. She will then tour the UK with dates and venues scheduled to be announced this week.

Louise's incredible theatre career has seen her take on many other iconic roles, including Eva Peron in Evita (national tour), Grizabella in Cats (Cyprus), Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls (national tour), Lucy Harris in Jekyll and Hyde (national tour), The Narrator in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (national tour) and Jan in Grease (national tour and Victoria Palace). She is the first actress in Wicked history to have played both Glinda and Elphaba in Wicked.

The star is also currently writing a book with Mark Evans and will perform two solo concerts at the St. James Theatre in December.
