Vote: Best Dramatic Performance 2013

The voting period for this award has now ended. The result will be announced on Wednesday 30th October 2013.

Following last year's 'Funniest Performance' award, this year West End Frame has decided to celebrate some of the most powerful and heart wrenching performances which move audiences night after night in theatreland.

Voting for 'Best Dramatic Performance' opened at 3pm on Tuesday 22nd October and must close at 3pm on Monday 28th October. It is a very short voting period so you must spread the word quickly! The result can be previewed until Friday 25th October and will be announced on Wednesday 30th October.

'Best Dramatic Performance' is part of the 2013 West End Frame Awards. Unlike other theatre awards, West End Frame only opens voting for one category at a time and combines male and female actors from musicals and plays into the same category. 'Best Dramatic Performance' follows 'Best West End Debut', 'Understudy of the Year', 'Best Performance of a Song in a Musical' and 'Best Jukebox Musical' in the 2013 West End Frame Awards.

The eight nominees are: Sion Daniel Young (Albert Narracott, War Horse), Cynthia Erivo (Celie, The Color Purple. The first time an actor from an off-West End production has been nominated for a West End Frame Award), Henry Goodman (title role in The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui), Daniel Koek (Jean Valjean, Les Miserables), Hattie Morahan (Nora Helmer, A Doll's House), GerĂ³nimo Rauch (title role in The Phantom of the Opera), Al Weaver (Oliver, The Pride) and Benedict Wong (Zhang Lin, Chimerica).

  3. GerĂ³nimo Rauch was incredible in Les Mis and is now gracing the stage as the Phantom. He must be tired but still gives outstanding performances night after night. A deserving winner.
