Barking In Essex adds Sunday performances

Barking In Essex has changed its performance schedule, adding Sunday matinees and axing Monday evening performances. From 17th November there will now be a 3pm performance each Sunday through to 22nd December 2013. Sunday shows are becoming increasingly popular in the West End, with The Commitments, Dirty Dancing, Jersey Boys, Let It Be, The Lion King, Matilda, Stomp and Thriller all having one or two performances on a Sundays.

The limited season of Clive Exton’s comedy, Barking In Essex, starring Lee Evans, Sheila Hancock, Keeley Hawes, Karl Johnson and Montserrat Lombard, must end at London’s Wyndham’s Theatre on Saturday 4th January 2014. The play received mostly negative reviews but has succeeded to attract new audiences to the theatre.

Freedom finally beckons for lowlife con man Algie Packer. He’s done seven years inside and now he’s coming home to spend his carefully stashed cash - £3.5million in untraceable notes. But there’s something Algie’s family has forgotten to mention… The Packers are your average dysfunctional Essex crime family with a big problem. Are they going to be able to cover their tracks before Algie arrives home?

Barking In Essex runs at the Wyndham’s Theatre until 4th January 2014.
