After closing its doors less than a month ago, Dress Circle have announced that for a temporary period of up to 6 months they will open up a pop-up shop on Monmouth Street.
The Dress Circle pop-up shop will be opening and selling everything you would expect, from Cast Recordings and DVDs to Merchandise and Memorabilia with some of the same friendly faces, and in the same location as the old Dress Circle shop. The shop will be open shortly.
The shop, the longest-running showbusiness shop in the world, opened in 1978, but ran into difficulties during the economic downturn. A celebrity gala performance, hosted by Aled Jones, was held in support of Dress Circle but didn't raise enough money to save the premises in the long-term. As well as the pop-up venture, plans are announced to upgrade and expand the existing website.
