Alexandra Burke to sing 'On My Own' in Les Misérables for Children In Need

Earlier this week it was announced that former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell, X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, R&B singer Macy Gray and boy band Blue will all join a West End Musical for one night only later this year to raise money for Children In Need and now we have some more details!

Speaking to Metro Alexandra Burke admitted that she is a nervous wreck about her upcoming performance in Les Misérables. She said "I'm singing 'On My Own', which is the big song from the musical. It's a great honour. I've always enjoyed going to the theatre and seeing musicals. In terms of it being an ambition and something I wanted to do in the future - I've never crossed it off. There's more I'd like to achieve right now... it's an awesome road to go down but when you go down it you stay there."

Geri Halliwell will perform in Singin' In The Rain. She said "I have a thing for rain, so I am very excited to be performing in the West End musical Singin' In The Rain and it's all for BBC's Children In Need. Just imagine - for one night I get to perform in this classic musical."

Last year it was rumoured that Alexandra would play the lead in the upcoming musical adaptation of 'The Bodyguard' however the part went to Heather Headley.
