Gary Barlow will perform on Monday's live episode of Superstar. He will join the final five potential Jesus' for a live performance of 'Greatest Day'. Apparently the five hopefuls will sing while Barlow will accompany them on piano on Monday, July 23 at 9pm.
Barlow's appearance will see him reunite with Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber, with whom he co-wrote the Diamond Jubilee track 'Sing' earlier this year. The celebs keep coming Katherine Jenkins will perform during Tuesday's live semi-final episode and finally Superstar judge, Mel C will then take to the stage on Wednesday's grand final!
As fantastic as all these performers are cant we just save them for The X Factor or Britain Hasn't Got Talent? How amazing would it be to see the casts of some of our greatest musicals perform on Superstar? I know it would be hard due to the fact its live meaning shows are happening simultaneously however Jersey Boys, Shrek and Rock Of Ages all have a evening off during the week where they could perform. Matilda and Billy Elliott could send one of their spare Matilda's or Billy's to perform and then there's West End Stars such as Kerry Ellis, Alfie Boe and Louise Dearman with albums out who I am sure would happily have performed!
The search to find a Jesus to appear in Lloyd Webber's new production of Jesus Christ Superstar continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1.
